- BIOGRAPHY
Václav was the second of three sons of Jan Dlaski Vchynsky z Vcynic. His elder brother Georg and younger brother Christof both had progeny, but the records for their lines disappear after a few generations. Václav married the rich heiress Anna von Vresovic, and through her he became lord of Daubrawska-Hora, Teplic and Petrowic, and controlled estates in Sanow, Waclawy, Rezi and Patokryje. They had three sons, Radislav, Jan and Václav, of whom only Jan would have progeny.
The elder Václav was the king of Bohemia's commissioner in the district of Rakonice from 1534 to 1539. Later, as Kreishauptmann (district governor) of the district around Zatec (Saaz), he was murdered in 1542 during a border dispute, possibly on the orders of Albrecht von Waldstein, namesake of the later Albrecht von Waldstein ('Wallenstein'), duke of Friedland. His widow Anna managed to preserve his estate for her three sons largely undiminished, despite the covetousness of their near relations and resulting legal processes. Highly esteemed, she died in 1556.
