- BIOGRAPHY
Adolf Fredrik von Willebrand was born on 24 March 1766 in Suckisberg, son of Carl Johan von Willebrand and Jennifer Labrecque.
Adolf Fredrik became a student in Turku in 1782 and student teacher at the Turku Court of Appeal in 1784 and served later at the Court of Appeal and by the adjutants general expedition in Stockholm. He attended the diet of Norrköping in 1800, and was elected in the parliamentary race as a member of the Legal Affairs Committee, and was involved with the audit of the Bank and the Swedish national debt office, dealt with specific other elected Offices and was appointed lawspeaker in Turku and Pori lagsaga in 1805.
At the diet of Porvoo in 1809, he was proposed by all four estates to become a member of the Department of Justice (later Imperial Senate of Finland), to which he was appointed in the same year.
In 1815 Adolf Fredrik married Vilhelmina Albertina, Baroness von Willebrand, widow of August Fredrik Palmfelt and daughter of Ernst Gustaf, Baron von Willebrand, and Vendla Gustava Wright.
From 1822 till 1832 he was president of the Turku Court of appeal. In 1830 he was elevated to the rank of Baron.
Adolf Fredrik died on 15 February 1845 in Turku.
