- BIOGRAPHY
Philippe Antoine was born in Nièk, Hungary on 12 February 1732, one of three children of Philippe Antoine de Mozet, comte de Grünne, seigneur de Grünne et Harzin and Gräfin Anne Thérèse Esterhazy de Kadendorf. In 1753 he succeeded his father in the lordships of Grunne, Harzin, etc.
On 15 June 1761 Philippe Antoine married Madeleine Christine Rachel de Holstein, only child of Leopold Joseph de Holstein, captain in the service of August III, elector of Saxony, and Marie de Kempis de Sternenburg. They had two sons, Philipp Ferdinand and Joseph Mathias Charles, both of whom provided distinguished military service to the Austrian empire. Philipp Ferdinand founded the Austrian branch of the family, Joseph Mathias the Belgian branch.
Philippe Antoine became the sole beneficiary of his cousin Hubert Henri de Pinchart, seigneur de Wartey, Frizet, Ville-en-Waret etc, in the terms of Hubert Henri's will of 7 December 1775, on the condition of joining the name and arms of Pinchart to his own. On that date he was colonel commanding the Freiss regiment in imperial service. He took on all the commitments of the Pinchart family, and on 20 April 1779 he became seigneur de Wartey, Ville-en-Waret, Frizet, Castillon etc. As comte de Grunne-Pinchart he was admitted to the nobility of Namur on 18 October 1780, and took the solemn oath on 5 November 1788. He had earlier been admitted to the nobility of Luxembourg.
Philippe Antoine had a distinguished military career, rising to the rank of major-general and commander of the fortress of Königgrätz in Bohemia. He died at Königgrätz on 3 April 1797.
