- BIOGRAPHY
Johann Albert, also referred to as Albrecht II, was the son of Albert IV-I, Graf von Görz und Tirol, and Euphemia of Glogau. From 1323 to 1325, Albert was governor of Görz (Gorizia) for his nephew Johann Heinrich, Graf von Görz, the only surviving son of Johann Albert's brother Heinrich III.
On 18 March 1299 Johann Albert married Elisabeth von Hessen, daughter of Heinrich I das kind von Hessen, Landgraf von Hessen, and Mechtild (Irmagard?) von Kleve. They had several children, of whom Klara would have progeny, marrying Herdegen I von Pettau, Marschall von Steiermark.
Before 6 January 1321 Johann Albert married Utehild von Mätsch, daughter of Ulrich II, Vogt von Mätsch, and Margareta von Vaz. They had several children, of whom Meinhard VI would have progeny.
Johann Albert died about 1325.
